Welcome to the Brownstone Lake Outpost

Superior Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch Fishing. Located 90 miles north of our base, (40 minute flight), this is the largest of our outposts, and was new in the spring of 96. In line with the deluxe accommodations of our other cabins, it is fully equipped. It also has extras such as a screened in deck, solar lights, and a beautiful sand beach.

Brownstone has it all. Rapids on the east shore, plenty of island and rocky shores for walleye and countless shallow weedy bays for those large northern. This dark water lake, approximately 4 miles long, is 10-30 feet in depth. Brownstone will provide you the greatest fishing action found anywhere in the Northwest. In addition, it offers two short portages in lakes, abundant with walleye and northern for those of you who like to be adventurous. This outpost, as with our other locations is the only cabin on the lake. Lake Map.

WHY JULY AND AUGUST ARE OFTEN BEST

This time of year is often most popular with our guests. Weather is more stable and fishing is more consistent because of fewer cold fronts moving through. Some lakes really turn on at this time of year and as an added plus, there are fewer bugs. A great time to bring the family or group.

About Excellent Adventures

Excellent Adventures, established in 1990, operates six exclusive outpost camps on remote wilderness fly-in only lakes within a half hour or so of our Ear Falls float-plane base. We operate a private air service for our clients that includes Cessna 185, Dehavilland Beaver and Beech 18 aircraft.

We practice conservation to preserve the productivity of our fisheries. This includes the policies of 'Catch and Consume', 'Catch, Photograph and Release' (CPR) and 'No Trophies Home'. Modern lifelike replicas of your trophy fish can be made by today's expert taxidermists from a good photograph. We expect our guest to review and practice proper fish handling to insure that fish returned to the lakes will remain healthy and contribute to next years production of fish.

When we began managing our lakes almost twenty years ago, we found them to be in very good shape. Today, after insuring that trophies where returned to the waters unharmed, and our spawning population of female fish would grow, our fishing today is simple world class and as good as. Our lakes are superior habitat for game fish as they all have flowage through the lakes. The constant supply of water delivers the nutrients that support the food chain that in tern feeds the fish with a never ending supply of prey.
